Port of Palm Beach adopts STRAX Platform for Enhanced Security

December 1, 2020. The Port of Palm Beach has adopted the STRAX Platform to increase safety and security.  According to Kenneth Hern, Senior Director of Port Operations and Security, “This system enhances the Port’s ability to effectively prevent, detect, respond and recover from acts of aggression, terror and/or natural disasters.”

The STRAX Platform adds numerous features and benefits that provide the Port security team access to real-time Port Camera Feeds, Vessel Traffic Movements, Weather and Aviation Alerts, Panic Alarms, and critical response plans.  It is also integrated with local public safety systems such as ShotSpotter. In the case of an emergency, the Platform allows the Port to easily grant system access to law enforcement partners to share feeds and critical data so all agencies can see what is happening in real-time. This multi-agency collaboration feature increases response times and the safety of both responders and the community.

According to Scott Adams, CEO and Co-Founder of STRAX Intelligence Group, “We look forward to working with the Port of Palm Beach to deliver solutions that meet their current security requirements while also providing them with a platform that offers advanced technology to adapt and expand to meet their future needs.”

The Port of Palm Beach is the first seaport in the U.S. to implement the STRAX Platform. “This state-of-the-art technology is a positive step in making our seaport safer,” said Port Executive Director Manuel Almira.
